Asa Packer
Lead Systems Engineer

Dr. Packer is a mathematician and computer scientist whose areas of expertise are in Optimization, Numerical Analysis, Algorithm Design, Computational Geometry, and Computer Graphics. His work experience prior to joining BioSonics included a number of positions developing scientific, mathematical, and computer graphics software. He received his B.A. in Mathematics and Computer Science with High Honors from Swarthmore College in 1992 and his Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Washington in 2001, where his research focused on the computational complexity of certain geometric problems. He has published four articles in scientific journals.
